In accordance with the NBA Act of 2006, only properly evaluated biotechnology products should be released into the market.
Application Procedure
Company Registration
Before a company can register their product with the NBA, the company must be registered with the NBA.
Pre-submission Consultation
Client meets with the NBA Inspectorate team to discuss their application and clarify requirements.
Application Submission
Client submits a complete application dossier to the NBA for review.
Sample Submission
A product sample must be submitted to the NBA for confirmatory laboratory testing.
Payment of Fee
Client pays the product registration fee as prescribed by the NBA.
Review & Laboratory Analysis
The NBA Inspectorate team conducts documents review and laboratory analysis simultaneously.

If application is approved, applicant is issued either:
Legal Framework
Product registration is governed by the National Biotechnology Authority Act [Chap.14:31] of 2006, which mandates that only properly evaluated biotechnology products may be released into the Zimbabwean market.
